My journey into interior design was deeply influenced by a diverse range of interests, from photography and cultural exploration to practices like yoga and Chinese medicine. As I delved deeper into these areas, I observed a common thread: the emphasis on authenticity, simplicity, and well-being. A vision carried by figures I respect suchs as Pascale Naessens who inspires us by returning to natural and authentic cooking, Charlotte Cadé (Selency), who revitalised second-hand furniture, making it desirable while promoting responsible consumption. Fumio Sasaki who offers deep insights into the benefits of owing less. In my turn I felt a deep-seated desire to approach my work in a way that prioritizes genuine connection and meaning over fleeting trends. Beyond aesthetics, my mission is to make design accessible to anyone, ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background or budget, has the opportunity to inhabit a space that is not only visually appealing but also deeply resonant with their personal essence
My path has taken me through the captivating streets of Brussels, Paris, Singapore and where I live since 2017, Hong Kong – each city leaving a distinctive imprint on my journey. Grounded in Real Estate and holding a Master in Business Administration, I further complemented my education with diplomas in Feng Shui and Architectural Interior Design. Being a mother of three remains a pivotal part of who I am, heightening my appreciation for functional, family-friendly spaces.
Instead of imposing a particular design trend, I work collaboratively with my clients to co-create spaces that resonate with them. This involves delving into people's personal spaces, striving to understand their unique stories, needs, and desires and incorporating elements that have sentimental value to them. I aim to stand out by making interior design services accessible to everyone, coaching each individual in transforming their interior. While I present a portfolio, it showcases their essence more than mine. I thrive on rejuvenating spaces with what's already there, infusing them with a fresh, sustainable touch. Through this journey, I aim to inspire my clients, guiding them in discovering their interior in the broadest sense."
Digital platforms like Instagram have revolutionized the way we perceive design. While they are great sources of inspiration, they often set unrealistic standards. My goal is to educate my clients about the difference between 'Instagrammable' designs and designs that are functional, sustainable, and tailored to their needs. While it's great to have a space that's photogenic, it's even more important to have a space where one can live comfortably and authentically.
